What are the different levels of protective gloves?

According to European directives CEE/89/686 and CEE 93/69, protective gloves are divided into three levels corresponding to risk levels.

 

Class 1 

These gloves provide protection against minimal risks, similar to disposable gloves. They comply with EN 420:2003.

 

Class 2

These gloves provide protection against minimal risks, similar to disposable gloves. Depending on the specific risks, the EN 420:2003 standard remains applicable, although other standards have been incorporated into it.

* Gloves for mechanical risks (EN 388:2003)

* Cold-weather gloves (EN 511:2006)

* Heat-risk gloves (EN 407:2004)

 

Class 3 

These gloves provide protection against significant risks, such as chemical hazards.
